Creating A Buzz For An App - Part 2

Continuing our market research for the JobFinder App (as described in my last blog) I decided it would be good to examine the analysis that has been generated via Flurry. Looking at the past usage of the app should (hopefully) give us an insight into what currently works well within the app, and thus should be continued, and what doesn't. The theory sounds all well and good, however in practice it is not that simple.

JobFinder I have just finished reading part 1 of an excellent series of articles on Ray Wenderlich's site entitled How to Market and Promote your Games and Apps. I expected the article to be a regurgitation or mash ups of ones I had already read, you know the type that seem to appear every week on the LinkedIn forums, but I was pleasantly surprised to find it goes much deeper than other articles I have seen.

Technology in the Midlands

west-midlands-map On business and social media sites such as Ecademy, LinkedIn and Twitter I often see networking events, conferences and meetings arranged for technology companies and contractors for the London area. Having had some contact with the North West region as well, I am aware of a reasonable number of telecoms companies, large and small, in that area too. But what about here in the Midlands? Is the demographic different here? Are more people employed in roles outside of the technology arena? Is there less interest in technology here?
